Well, let me start this off by introducing myself and laying out some basics so you can get to know me. :) I am a #mom of two beautiful kiddos and a #wife to the most amazing man I have ever met in my life. We are more than just a #married fit couple, we are best friends, which seems to be rare in life. We are an adventure seeking #country family. It's fun to explore the mountains, lakes, and wilderness in all it's splendor - and so you will see a lot of that here.
I am typing this while I stand on my deck, #music blaring on my Bose and feeling the warm evening breeze blow my hair around - that's happiness. I have waited so long for Spring and having it snow on Tuesday was NOT a highlight. I live in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, so winter seems to be never-ending here and sometimes that's a drag, but the first snow of the season is always one of the most beautiful sights ever. As much as I dread the winter when it should be Spring in all it's blooming abundance, I couldn't move south cause I love the vast differences between the four seasons I am blessed to experience with every trip around the sun and could never feel HOME anywhere else.
I work a full-time job however I get to be Mom whenever it's needed as well as I get the time to put into my fitness business - which is vlog/blogging for my Keto community, sharing recipes, lifestyle tips, discussions about products, and reviewing local stores/recipes. It's a lot of fun and a lot of work - all tied up into a delicious little low carb bow! I take a lot of pride in searching for new treats that meet my requirements to be considered "keto lifestyle friendly." So Fridays, which I consider "Friday Forages" are a great way to get out into the community and pick through different goods offered to make the lifestyle easier to lead without "cheats."
Ok so moving onto #KETO... I am someone who lives a #ketogenic lifestyle, so you won't see me discuss cheat days or meals - that's not what I do. If I want anything I will make it fit my daily macros and meal plan. I buy a lot of goods that will sustain my taste buds without having me feel deprived in any way. I think that's the best way to keep your lifestyle in check and not veering off course. It's hard to live life and always feel restricted, so if you want something - EAT IT. Too often in the groups on Facebook, you will hear the people who are full of pointed fingers and judgments talk about what isn't keto... well let's square one #FACT up - no food is KETO. The way you eat and the way your body reacts - that's what determines whether or not you re in #ketosis. So let's file that away for useful information. Don't let anyone tell you that a food you are comfortable consuming - isn't keto or isn't ok. If you stay into ketosis, then you are good to go.
